Angie Rosetta (McLaughlin) Reed

Angie Rosetta McLaughlin, age 46 of Turkey Creek, La was born August 5, 1977 in Pineville, La and she entered the eternal gates of heaven on April 16, 2024 at Savoy Medical Center, Mamou, La, surrounded by her loving family as she was welcomed by her daddy and sister at the gates of heaven.

Angie was a loving mother, daughter, sister, aunt, grandmother, and friend to many people that loved and cherished her. Angie was considered a free spirit because you never knew what she was gonna do or say. She never met a stranger on this earth and could hold a conversation with a tree! She made many friends that were considered family. If you met her you would never forget her because she was sure to leave a lasting impression on you.

Angie enjoyed spending time with her friends and family. If you needed someone to talk to or help she was just a phone call away and always tried her best to help when needed despite her physical disabilities that she fought each day herself. Angie had a heart of gold and would give you the shirt off her back if you needed it. She will be greatly missed by all her family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her father, Leonard “Curly” McLaughlin; step-mother, Linda McLaughlin; sister, Latasha McLaughlin; paternal grandparents, Lenard & Loretta McLaughlin; maternal grandparents, Alma & Barney Tullis; and maternal grandfather Burley Mills Sr.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Jimmy Reed (Katie) and Luther Rollins (Gracie); mother, Connie Tullis; three brothers Burley “Tetot” McLaughlin; Leonard “Skeeter” McLaughlin (Lillian); and Joseph McLaughlin (Valorie); two sisters Loretta Hollis and Tina Whatley; one granddaughter Sophie King; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and lifelong friends.

Memorial service will be held at later date and will be announced by family.
