Richard Louis Lucas, 70 of Pineville, Louisiana, passed away on May 31, 2023 at his home in Pineville. Richard Louis Lucas was born on January 15, 1953, the son of James and Bertha Lucas.
He was a lifelong resident of Pineville. He worked as a truck driver and correctional officer for many years. He enjoyed hunting and spending time with his family. Richard is proceeded in death by his son Aaron Johnson. His parents James and Bertha Lucas. His brothers J.C. Lucas, Alton Lucas, Sr. and Joey Lucas. His maternal and paternal grandparents as well as numerous aunts and uncles. Those left to cherish his memories are his wife, Ruby Lucas; one son, Daron Johnson (April); three daughters, Rene Lucas, Stacy Jernigan (Ricky) and Kristi West (Jeremy). He was blessed to have 9 grandchildren, and one great granddaughter. Richard is survived by one brother, James Lucas, Jr. (Fay); three sisters, Ruth Burkett, Dinky Carrington and Jackie Moses (Randy). He was “Uncle Richard” to numerous nephews and nieces.
